Ziba Beauty: Unlocking True Beauty at a Cellular Level

As most of you know, the Christmas season is a very busy season for me. I work in the retail industry, and have often sacrificed a lot of sleep every December. I do try my best to rest every chance I get, but I sometimes feel it still isn’t sufficient. So recently, I stumbled upon Ziba Beauty on Instagram. I was intrigued at how they are saying that natural ingredients are the most potent when it comes to skincare. I know most of us have tried A LOT of skin care rituals, and to be honest, most are hit-and-miss for me. So when I had the chance to give their famed Moonrise Glow a try, I did it right away!

THE STORY

Ziba Beauty is a start-up company co-owned by Ms. Jarah Seguis and Ms. Diana Chan. Ziba is a Persian word that means beautiful, and it is the perfect name to embody this company that takes health and beauty very seriously. Their brainstorming took place early this year, as they wanted to do something fulfilling, enjoyable, and exciting. Their R&D took some time, but now, the duo have came up with all-natural cellular beauty products they personally love and are proud to share with the market. In fact, they enjoy working on this brand so much, they often don’t feel like they’re actually working at all! It’s so nice, right?

THE PRODUCTS

As of this writing, they have already launched several products like beauty oils and drinks. At Ziba, their mantra is that true beauty and skincare is about what we put in our bodies.

Their drinks are targeted towards different concerns that needs to be addressed to be able to achieve healthy, glowing, and beautiful skin. Woke Up Like This (Php 170 for 500ml) is a blended green juice meant to be taken first thing in the morning. With regular use, it is said to clear out blemishes and prevent bloating. On the other hand, the Moonrise Glow (Php 170 for 250ml; Vegan version – Php 200 for 250ml) is an ayurvedic drink that acts as a skin purifier. It is said to help you ease stress, which is perfect for this busy season. This drink is recommended to be taken at night during your relaxing time.

THE VERDICT

So among their products, I was able to try their Moonrise Glow. I like how their drinks come in flask type bottles, which are super cute and can be used for gifting, too! Moonrise Glow is an ayurvedic drink which includes various spices, with anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties. Its ingredients comprises of fresh milk, cinnamon, turmeric, ashwagandha, extra virgin coconut oil, cardamom, black pepper, and raw honey. For Vegans, they also have a Vegan Moonrise Glow for you!

I tried the drink in its cold version since I was too lazy to heat it. But I heard that warm Moonrise Glow is great, too. Anyway, at first sip, I thought, this drink is really unique. To tell you frankly, I was a bit surprised with its taste. It’s definitely an acquired taste, but you’ll soon grow used to it after a few sips. It’s taste is largely attributed to the turmeric in it, plus hints of pepper and cinnamon once you swallow it. As you savor the drink, the creaminess of the milk eventually stands out, too, plus the sweetness from the honey.

To maximize the benefits, I tried having it for five consecutive days. Upon consuming, there really is a sense of calmness or relaxation that seemed to embrace my whole being. I get to sleep better, and wake up more rested, too. I think this drink really does wonders, and should be part of our skincare / beauty routine!
