Cheese Rolls from The Baron Kitchen: Fluffy, Yummy, and Affordable

Since the start of the community quarantine in Metro Manila more than three months ago, various home bakers have started their online selling business. From ube cheese pandesal to different flavors of cookies, name it and they have it. But my recent discovery, The Baron Kitchen, banked on the classic cheese rolls, and I seriously cannot get enough of them. Certainly, the cheese roll from The Baron Kitchen is definitely one of the best cheese rolls I have tasted. And I am glad they did not leave my wallet empty, too!

This discovery is met with much happiness. They were able to help me satisfy my cheese roll cravings without breaking the bank. I believe famous bakeshops (you know who I’m referring to…) usually sell these for over Php 400 per half dozen, which, in my book, is quite outrageous already. On the other hand, the cheese rolls from The Baron Kitchen are priced affordably at Php 228 for half a dozen, and Php 450 for one dozen.

THE VERDICT

Upon opening the box, I am met with six glorious rolls smothered with butter and sprinkled with sugar. And, the smell was irresistible too. I actually immediately wished I was able to make myself a cup of hot chocolate to pair this with. Also, they have wrapped each roll properly, and placed them securely in a box (so it’s perfect for gifting!).

Upon opening a piece and sinking my teeth into them, I was wow-ed with how delicious they are! The roll itself was soft as a pillow but not too airy, and the butter and sugar made it even yummier. On the other hand, the cheese filling was smooth and velvety, I’m smacking my lips with every bite. I swear, I can eat the whole box in one sitting! But of course, I didn’t.

You might not be able to consume everything within the day it was delivered. That’s okay! You may opt to store them in a airtight container and put them in the fridge. On the next day, just pop them into the toaster to achieve a “grilled” cheese roll. (Thanks for their tip!) It pairs well with your favorite coffee, too. It’s so good, I’m sure everyone in the house will love these. So please, heed my advice and order a dozen or more so there’s enough to go around!
